1897 Eye Glass Hook

Something old and special from Vintage Cove - Mens Vintage Jewellery

This amazing little doo-hickey is apparently from around 1900 and is an eye-glass hook.  These hooks were pinned to the clothing and attached to a chain connected to the eyeglasses. See? Ever since glasses were invented, people have been forgetting where they put them. Hence, the invention of the eyeglass chain and hook.

VINTAGE TIE BAR CLIP-MOTHER OF PEARL & PAUA SHELL INLAY

Is it just me, or do they just not make things like this any more?



A beautiful mother of pearl bar with paua shell highlights at each end. I'm sure it looks even more amazing in real life because I know how hard it is to photograph these irridescent qualities.

Celtic Design Necklace Sterling Silver Garnet Jewelry
